The Sundance Film Festival kicks off this week in Park City, which is one of my favorite and if I’m being honest… only fashion-savvy events in Utah. In a place known more for its snow than its style, Sundance is like a breath of fresh air because it brings the who’s-who of style to my very own backyard and I love seeing what kinds of inspiration I can draw from the whole street style scene.

Similar to fashion week, festivals like Sundance have become the ultimate place to rock an insta-worth outfit. That being said, one of the hardest challenges about getting dressed for an event in a climate like Utah’s is that you face mitigating factors.  For starters, it’s cold AF, snows a lot and the sidewalks are icier than Elsa’s castle…not the ideal climate to take your Choo’s for a stroll. Thus, the battle between comfort and style begins.

Having grown up in Utah for most of my life, I have learned to accept that rather than pretending like snow doesn’t exist, its much better to accept the fact that no amount of anti-snow dancing will make it go away, and find cute options that are also ideal for colder climates instead.  That is why I wanted to share my top 3 favorite cold-weather essentials that will keep you warm, dry and still stop the show when you arrive.
