Chic Travels // Los Cabos
Some say a picture is worth a thousand words, personally I feel like a picture is priceless. Growing up my grandmother would always have her camera out snapping away, capturing some of the best memories of our family to date.
During these impromptu paparazzi like flurries our entire family would roll their eyes at her and laugh but when she came to us with an envelope packed full of pictures, we all couldn’t wait to gather around and see what she’d caught on film. Creating photo journals has quickly become one of my favorite parts about traveling, and I am convinced I inherited the shutterbug from her.
This was my first visit to Los Cabos and aside from Rocky Point, Mexico in general. I have really been itching to travel more, so you can imagine my excitement when I found out that I will be frequenting the region quite often with my new job at INMEXICO Magazine. I have always wanted to make it down South and am stoked to see the land, learn more about the people and surround myself in their culture.
For my first trip out, I was primarily busy with meetings, but I made sure to take my Nikon with me where ever I went. I have really been into shooting landscapes, inanimate objects, and high-contrast subjects which in Mexico aren’t hard to find. There are so many vibrant colors I was truly in heaven.
One of my favorite places we visited was Flora Farms, a farm to table eatery complete with croquet, live jazz music, a farmers market and unbeatable patio. Oh, and did I mention dogs are allowed? So awesome! While the farm is tucked away in the hills of San Jose it is totally worth the trek!
Headed back down to Los Cabos again this weekend, so stay tuned for more to come! In the meantime, I hope you enjoy a glimpse through my lens.
