I’ve said it once (or twice) and I’ll say it again, no matter how many times I’ve visited Cabo, I always experience something new and exciting than before! I could honestly spend weeks at a time in Cabo and never get bored. In fact, I had so much fun this time that part of me wanted to just see if one of my friends could drive my pup in crime Brooklyn down from San Diego, along with a suitcase of my fave clothes and call it day.

That being said, so many people I talk to head to Cabo but never leave their hotel grounds! So this trip I decided to document some of my favorite experiences out and around the city to show ya’ll what you’re missing out on!

Day No. 1 Horse Back Riding on the Beach

I met Aaron from Bonanza Horsebakck Riding on my first trip to Cabo. I was mesmerized by his beautiful ranch filled with palm trees and breathtaking horses grazing, so naturally being the blogger I am I pulled out my Instax Camera to document what I had found. That is when Aaron came over and introduced himself to me and helped me onto a beautiful horse and insisted I get a picture!

That day that I swore to him I would be back for a horseback ride. Two years later, I finally made good on my promise and enjoyed the most amazing horseback ride on the beach. I was super excited to meet the latest addition to his squad, Pirate the cutest dog I have ever met…besides Brooklyn of course!

DAY No. 2 Live Like a Local

One of my favorite things about Cabo, is the people and they lifestyle they live. Its all about balance and taking care of the mind, body and soul. One of my favorite places to hang is the Spa at Pedregal because it is a gym, yoga studio and spa all rolled into one. It is such a great place to workout and enjoy a relaxing morning.

Another cool spot you need to check out is the all-new El Merkado along the corridor between San Jose and Cabo San Lucas. It’s basically like a foodies heaven on earth. Fresh cuisine from all of the city, flowers, coffee and shopping all in one incredible and innovative space. A total must see! I love the cafe there called Ufficio, I could totally see myself just blogging from there on repeat.

Another local tradition is sipping on some fresh coconut water and just enjoying the beautiful surroundings and some fresh air. You can find coconut stands all over town, so if you see one make sure to stop, you won’t be disappointed! A great way to end the day is enjoying the sunset either by land or sea. This trip I went on a sunset cruise around the arch which was fun (a bit touristy, but in a good way), but I personally enjoyed taking some time to just relax on my balcony and watch the sun set over the sea of cortez.

Day No. 3 Room Service on Repeat

One thing I rarely do is chill the eff out.

This trip I was determined to take some time to do absolutely nothing but enjoy room service and my room and embrace the fact that I was on vacation. I was joking with some of my friends while I was packing because when I started out, my bag was filled with stacks of work I wanted to catch up on and by the time I was finished, I made the brave move to leave all of my work at home and use the room to pack seriously like 5 hats instead.

Room service is amazing and something everyone should take the time to indulge in. I was obsessed with the Sheraton Grand’s Eggs Benedict and can we just talk about the pizza from Il Forao Dela Hacienda?! The Liguria had arugula, parmesan cheese and prosciutto…soooo bomb! That and pots of coffee, on repeat!
