Camo Chic.
Olivia Palermo made camouflage a must in my book when I saw her don a rugged utility jacket over everything from skinny jeans to flirty dresses during the Fall several years ago. A touch of military is a great addition to any wardrobe because of its unexpected versatility and durability.
While this print may seem difficult to wear at first, it is a great way to add just the right amount of tough to everyday essentials. Experiment and remember fashion is fun so break a few rules, this is one place a Drill Sergeant doesn’t apply! When buying camo or military inspired pieces, I tend to opt for outerwear — to be honest, I actually have like 6 different utility jackets ranging in cut and color– and totally wear them all.
I tend to keep additional clothing muted unless I’m going for a stronger look in which case I would pair a camo shirt with leather leggings for example. That being said, a khaki green utility jacket goes surprisingly well with leopard print, ripped denim, black, white…you catch my drift.
