Growing up in Utah, I was surrounded by white winters and absolutely love layering up in cozy knits and chic outerwear. That being said, you don’t have to shovel sunshine — so I will keep my complaints about San Diego’s 70 degree weather to a minimum.

This weekend there was the perfect chill in the air to bundle up in my fave new beanie from Forever 21, and leather jacket I haven’t been able to part with since college…there is something about the detachable fur collar and zipper detailing on the back and sleeves that pretty much guaranteed it a hanger in my closet for life.

On days where I don’t have to dress up in the winter I pretty much keep stick to a lot of the same staples that I do in the summer, namely a good pair of destroyed denim, a comfy T-shirt and aviators. If it ain’t broke, don’t break it, right?! I snagged this pair of Joe’s jeans a couple of weeks ago during the #Nsale, and regret not getting them in every color. Oh, well…there’s always Santa right?
