It’s hard to believe almost a month has passed since the first Women & Whiskies event took place in San Diego at the Moniker Warehouse.

The whole place was packed with female creatives all excited about the opportunity to learn more about the history of the spirit, and savor a craft cocktail (or three) in the name of research.

The Roc Shop, my ultimate go-to for partyware’s, had the cocktails decked out with some of the CUTEST cocktail stir sticks, coasters, and napkins for the event in my fave colors – black, white and gold.

As if that wasn’t enough, we even got a goodie bag – complete with a tasting journal and recipes to take with us, so we can all become Whisky wielding bartenders at home!

I for one can’t wait to experiment with all of the different recipes we were given. In fact, I don’t think I’ve heard of some of them.

Well actually, that might be a lie. Maybe I had come across some of them when my friends and I would use a fake ID to buy some of the hottest whiskies, (and cocktails) during our college night outs. But I can’t quite remember… it must be because of all the alcohol we drank.

So, getting to learn different whisky recipes at this time of my life is bringing back all these memories. The only difference is that at least I don’t have to use my fake ID to buy alcohol anymore. Good job really, as I definitely want to try all of them at some point.

Cheers to that!
