Momento

When a trip or experience comes to an end it can be really bittersweet. While memories are wonderful, I personally like to find a little something to take home with me to remind me of the journey. Instead of buying airport trinkets like shot glasses,  I have found that collecting sustainable and wearable items that I would actually buy if I were home (jewelry, art, handbags etc.) are a great way to go.

A perfect example of this is the Saint Christopher my dad surprised me with from a small town in France where we were exploring Roman Ruins. There was a small bible shop nearby with authentic pendants and he knew I had it in mind to pick one up because ever since I was a small surfer girl I loved the Saint Christopher necklaces that many surfers wear to protect them in their travels. I had ones in pink, teal you name it I probably had one because every summer I was at surf camp I would take the trek to the local surf shop and buy them. But an authentic pendant from Paris is unique and will always remind me of that day!

Another example is the fringe bag I picked up in Provence. I was just walking through to find some grub when I came across the most stunning leather artisan who was selling different leather items from bracelets to wallets and handbags. In case you haven’t noticed from prior posts, I love fringe so when I saw the croc embossed cross body complete with fringe for only $20 Euro I knew it had to be mine!

Over time I have collected some really cool and unique pieces that will forever remind me of the experiences I had when I stumbled across them! I hope you are all having an amazing start to your week, and wherever your day may take you…

Stay Stylish,
