Chic Reports // Phoenix Fashion Week Beauty Trends
Last week I had the pleasure of attending the Phoenix Fashion Week ‘Beauty Beauty Forecast’ at Toni & Guy Academy in Scottsdale. Basically it was an amazing night where the local fashion community got together to enjoy a night of road testing the must have beauty trends for the ball. I even met people who traveled across the country to be here. The phoenix vacation rentals must have been jampacked! I had such a good time connecting with multiple bloggers and members of the Phoenix Fashion Week family, especially since I move in less than 3 weeks! I also got to try out some really amazing products that have come out, here are my faves…
1. The Blow Out: There were several hair options highlighted this season, the braid was one, a curled ‘do was another and a bombshell blowout was the third and final option. I was all about pumping up the volume with an amazing root to tip round brush blow courtesy of Toni & Guy. To top it off they gave me Bed Head ‘Blow Out” to maintain the look, get yours at Ulta!
2. Dermalogica Microzone Treatment: To be honest I was intimidated by the very sound of this treatment, but the awesome miniature Dermalogica kits we gifted afterward, motivated me to go for it! It was basically like a 20 minute facial vacay where you come back not only knowing more about your skin, but their demonstration of the product leaves your skiing feeling anew. Check out Dermalogica for more info about dermalogica skin care products and amazing services.
3. Foundation Matching: After the facial I was excited to check out the foundation matching and make-up application presented by Boots No. 7. Who knew that over 85% of women are wearing the wrong foundation?! They have a really cool pigment reading system and in short…it turns out I am a Cool Beige. With all of the ‘No make-up, make up’ it is important to have your skin tone in line and now I know I do!
All in all I had such a great time checking out some really cool new products out there, and the night ended up being really informative too. I especially liked how each of the services I experienced weren’t over the top but really focused on the enhancement of each woman’s natural beauty. To top it off, I got to spend some quality time with a few of my favorite local blogger babes (check out the photo gallery here).
I hope you are all having a great start to your week and getting back into the swing of things. I am still packing for San Diego and now have to pack for NYFW which is only 2 days away. Stay tuned for my packing list on the blog tomorrow!
Stay Stylish,
XOJ
