A First Look at SUR Beach House
I can’t tell ya’ll how excited I am to share today’s post with you!
If ya’ll remember a few months back, I headed down to Cabo in October with videographer Roodi Zuhair to capture a first look at the all-new SUR Beach House by Bar Esquina. SUR is a brand new beach club right on the shores of Medano Beach, and conveniently located a block away from my home away from home, the Bahia Hotel. I would love to have a permanent residence near a beach like this, although I have been looking at cannon beach property management too in order to see what my options are.
More often than not, Cabo gets associated with bachelor parties, and spring breakers – but that is such a small part of this breath-taking part of the Baja Sur! When I walked into SUR I was blown away by the upscale design aesthetic – natural reclaimed wooden tables, a light and airy landscape, top-notch food and chilled Taittinger Champs on repeat. Totes my style, they even have a fab array of green juices to accommodate those who live a healthier lifestyle.
Much like the Bar Esquina, it’s sister from another mister located inside the Bahia Hotel, SUR boasts a delicious menu full of freshly sourced organic ingredients from local vendors, and offers a million dollar view making it the perfect brunch spot for a lazy Sunday. I personally enjoyed the Croque Madame and was pleasantly surprised to find it on the menu.
Another aspect that I love about SUR, is that it is home to CABO SUP, the perfect pre-brunch activity for locals and tourists alike. SUP is one of those things that people of all ages and skill levels can enjoy. During this trip, I had such a blast going out with Gunther and a few of his crew-mates in addition to a group visiting from Canada. We even stopped at a popular local spot that offers cliff jumping for the daredevils in your group!
Cabo San Lucas is home to El Arco, one of the most magnificent natural sites to see in all of Mexico! For those of you who aren’t familiar with what El Arco is, it is also known as Land’s End because it is where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean.
Much like yoga, SUP offers an incredibly serene full-body workout while enjoying the sights and sounds of nature that surround you…and speaking of yoga – SUR just served that up on their activity menu! I was so stoked to give SUP Yoga a try and had such a blast. The instructor was super friendly and eased my fears right from the beginning when she said that part of the fun is knowing that eventually you will get to fall in and cool off! 🙂
All in all from the stay at Bahia Hotel, to my first experience at SUR Beach House – it was such a blast getting to explore both old and new parts of Cabo surrounded by great people, great vibes and AH-mazing food! If you are headed down to Cabo, and looking for the perfect hang, make sure you add SUR to your list!
