What a week – Thanksgiving festivities, Black Friday door busters, and the hustle and bustle of the holiday season in full swing.

Even Communal Coffee today was playing holiday music on repeat – its funny because in spite of being a ‘fashion blogger’ and my ‘job’ being to educate you on how to shop ’til you drop – I don’t know about you, but this year I’m kinda over it. The constant reminder to spend, spend, spend in order to save, save, save is kind cray to me – always has been.

You see, the thing is – I love to shop, don’t get me wrong, and I LOVE a good sale – but the older I get, I find the less I actually need/want/buy – and I appreciate great relationships and quality craftsmanship more than anything.

So last night, I got some much needed shut eye while the Black Friday frenzy commenced – and truth be told… #sorrynotsorry.

One of my fave things about shopping local, is you actually get to know some pretty rad people – not just sales people happy to kiss your ass to make a commission,  but girl bosses and entrepreneurs who have great taste, and are a blast to grab dinner with and offer much more than slashed prices.
