Downtown Girl.

This Free People jacket is one of my all-time faves — I got it from Nordstrom when I first moved to San Diego and thanks to the 70 degree weather have rarely had the opportunity to wear it! Thankfully we have had some weather this week that called for bundling up to stay warm!

One of the things I love most about a embellished jacket like this, is it immediately elevates an everyday look. Normally I throw on a leather jacket when I am wearing black X black look, so my whole look blends together — but the cream shag fabric and the embellished beading are an unexpected alternative and go great with neutrals like denim, white, black and gray.

This pair of All Saints jeans is another of one my fave closet essentials. The zippers are a nice touch and add some edge to an otherwise pretty basic pair of denim.
