Happy New Year!

I hope all of you had a blast and are starting the year off on a good note, and in style! I had a great time shooting these looks with my blogger-bestie Olia and enjoying some yummy grub and champs at Café Chloe!

Red isn’t usually my color, but a red cap beanie is such a fun addition to an off-duty outfit! I first admired this look on one of my style-crushes Cara Delevingne when she was on her way out the door from a show during New York Fashion Week — she was donning destroyed denim, combat boots a white T and a black leather moto-jacket (I know I sound like a total style-stalker, but hey…I am just trying to give credit where credit is due LOL). Anywho…since then I picked one up and have been pleasantly surprised with how often I wear it, and how versatile it can be.

It can be so fun to take tailored pieces and dress them down, it is such a great contrast. Another one of my fave ways to add some personality to a more tailored look is a good statement T. I picked this one up from the guys at Medium apparel and love the nod to Biggie (old-school Hip-Hop is a fave of mine). The tailored piece I anchored the look around was this siiiick Ralph Lauren crested blazer for a few years. Up until recently I would only really wear it to Kentucky Derby style events and to keep myself warm under a cocktail dress — plus its is such a fun contrast with the beanie and these rad new studded Michael Kors boots I scored on sale!

Have a fab Monday and don’t forget to comment, I would love to hear how you style your favorite tailored pieces!

xx,
J
