Statement necklaces have gone from after-hours only, to an outright day-to-day essential! Read on, for a few of my fave ways to bring your bedazzled breastbone from date night only, into broad daylight!

Everyday Basics: A great way to get more wear out of your statement bling is to play with opposites. Dress up the most casual t-shirt by donning your statement necklace that you bought from somewhere like haruni, and cutoffs. Presto! Your day-to day uniform just got an instant facelift!

The White Button Down: I love layering a statement necklace over a crisp white button down top, it has such a sophisticated effect! I recently bought a photo necklace and I’ve been wearing it with a white shirt. I have to say, it’s a great combo! This look is great with jeans, or a pencil skit–for a more undone look, try unbuttoning the top few buttons of your shirt and layering the necklace underneath so just a hint peaks out. This combo is such a great go-to for days where you are going from day to drinks, because you can easily go from the buttoned-up to undone look in not time by adjusting the length of your necklace!

Monochromatic: I loving mixing head-to-toe shades of white, denim, black, gray….um, ok…lets just say I like the new monochrome, ie. mixing a variety of shades from a single color in different fabrications. A great way to finish off the look is a statement necklace, because it adds a touch of opulence to an otherwise minimalistic look.

There is such a variety of statement necklaces out there from more of a vintage vibe to a more structured feel, so in my opinion you can never have too many! A statement doesn’t have to break the bank either, in fact the one I am wearing in this post is from H&M and was only $35!
