5_Boots_Every_woman_Should_Own

With fall in full effect and winter nipping at its heels many of you may already be slipping out of your summer sandals and into your fall footwear. The perfect wardrobe for colder months calls for tights, skinny jeans, leggings and all things cozy but you need to arm yourself with the right bevy of boots to accompany it. Here are 5 boots that will go with everything in your winter wardrobe and even carry you into spring:

1. Over the Knee Boots: This boot goes perfectly with skinny jeans, or a bare leg and a flirty dress both long or short. They provide warmth in a sleek and sexy way. Pair them with an over the knee sock and a flirty frock for a sultry weekend look that plays well day or night.

2.  Stacked Heel: Stacked heels are something I never really considered until this season. I was headed to the Polo Party in Scottsdale and wanted something that wouldn’t aerate the lawn. I ended up falling in love with these boots and can truly wear them for hours. They also add an heir of sophistication to almost any look!

3. Ankle Bootie: For a long time I didn’t think I could wear ankle boots because I was too short…wrong! Just like the perfect pair of jeans you really need to try a few pairs on in different cuts. I have found that booties that don’t cut straight across my ankle work best and actually elongate my leg. They also go great with everything from cutoff shorts and tights to skater dresses or skinny jeans.

4. Edgy Boots: Some ladies prefer Moto boots or ‘biker boots’ but don’t feel like that is the only route you can go! I have a pair of Doc Martins that I doctored up to suit my personal style a la Saint Laurent but this season I found another pair that has leather straps and cut-outs that seem a lot more me right now. Studs, spikes…whatever. Just make sure that they are you.

5. Wellies: Rain boots are AH-mazing! I love them and seriously cannot wait to slip them on anytime I even think I felt a rain drop! They also work well in slush or snow because in all reality that is what they were designed for. They are functional and fun and keep your tootsies dry! What’s not to love? Mine are by Hunter and have lasted several years, when selecting a color try to keep in mind what the primary colors of your wardrobe are so they incorporate easily and don’t clash.

Not sure where to pick up the perfect pair of boots? My suggestion would be Nordstrom, they have a variety of departments from contemporary to designer, as well as sizing and price points that are sure to suit any gal.
