One of my favorite make-up looks this season has to be the healthy glow of rosy cheeks, and bright skin.

I don’t know if you know this, but I’m pale AF…like not quite Twilight status, but almost, so when the winter comes and I don’t get out in the sun (or to Blush Tan) as much as I’d like, it helps to find a makeup look that suits my skin on its paler days.

I recently stumbled upon Mineral Fusion make-up, and fell in love with their blonzers (a blush/bronzer duo) which is perfect for the summer months, then it was their mascara, the perfect wand, and doesn’t clump when you put it on…score! As I tried more and more of their options, I have to say I honestly started weeding out other makeup from my bag.

Achieving the rosy glow in this look was actually pretty simple! Here are the easy to follow steps to get you glowing in no time, and make sure to check out Mineral Fusion, they are a gluten free, cruelty free mineral based make- up – their colors and quality are amazing!

no 1.

Apply a tinted moisturizer to freshly cleaned skin, and conceal any blemishes on the skin. Lately I have been using a really cool sponge roll on version in a shade lighter than my skin and it has been like a magic eraser (for tips on getting flawless skin, and a peek inside my make-up bag see here).

no 2.

DON’T Powder! This is the harderst part, you aren’t supposed to look matte, so let it go and move on. No strobe powder, no finishing powder, no ‘rosy’ powder, it kills the natural creamy finish.

no. 3

Apply a cream blush to the cheek bones in a circular motion and blend in with your fingertips. Personally,  I love the 3-1 version by Mineral Fusion in Terra Cotta.

no. 4

Contour the eye slightly with a bone color more natural to the skin, then add an all over shimmer to the lid, finish off by highlighting right under the eyebrow with a shimmer in a paler shade. Personally I love using the enchanted eye palette from Mineral Fusion’s winter collection because it has all the shades you need to create this look a dozen others all in one palette.

For all of you palette addicts, it seriously has the perfect sables, taupes and rosy shimmers to highlight and contour to achieve everything from the most minimal of a glow, to a more dramatic, yet ethereal look.

Finish off by shaping your brows with your usual routine, and finish off with lash curling mineral mascara – its fabulous and you only need one coat so no worries about clumping!

One mistake people often make with a rosy glow/natural look is to go too pale or frosty on the lips – your lips should look like your lips, not a ducks. I love the Peony shade by Mineral Fusion but pick a shade that matches your lips, not mine! :o)
