The Ultimate Fall Layering Essential.
Loving the cloudy days, and fall vibes here in San Diego lately! Its so nice to be able to bust out a long sleeved shirt once and awhile, and enjoy the occasional chill in the air.
Since I live in the land of 70 degree weather, paying homage to fall layers can be a bit tricky. While my heart says ‘more, more more’, my head and, well pretty much the rest of my body says ‘heeeeellp me I’m meeeeeelting’…so, yeah you can guess who wins that battle.
Luckily, I recently discovered the Fall line of blanket shawls from San Diego Hat Company! Not quite a poncho, not quite a scarf, these pieces are so versatile, and come in really yummy southwestern patterns, and rich color palettes – perfect to add autumn appeal to any ensemble.
Another reason I am particularly fond of these shawls is because they can be thrown over pretty much anything from dresses, pants, shorts – then removed at a moments notice just as easily. I also love the rick textures they come in, giving off the same dimension and effect as heavier layers, without bulking your outfit up too much.
There are so many ways to wear and layer a shawl which also makes them perfect for travel! The other day I rocked one of my fave oversized shawls from SDHC as a scarf on a plane ride to Cabo, and then when we landed and there was a dramatic shift in the climate (like from 70 and pleasant to 90 and humid AF), so it was nice to be able to easily tuck the shawl away in my tote bag without it wrinkling or taking up much room!
Don’t forget to check out the awesome options available at San Diego Hat Company, their Fall collections is AH-mazing, and these pieces make great gifts for the #girlgang in your life!
