I don’t know about you, but a Canadian Tux is one of my favorite denim trends to rock in the Fall. That being said, even thought its August, mother nature is still bringing the heat here in Utah with triple digit days, and showing no signs of cooling off any time soon.

As a result, it has caused for me to work my denim on denim magic in some new creative ways. One of which is by way of this fun new vest I scored from Downeast Outfitters. I just visited their new store in Spanish Fork the other day and John messaged me about how much he loved my dressing room selfie, and new take on the Canadian Tux. So naturally, I brought it home with me. 🙂

In this look, I styled it with one of my favorite pairs of TOPSHOP Mom jeans that are beaded and fabulous. As much as I would love to rock the vest braless with one button done up (and tons of cleavage), I opted to keep the look a bit on the tamer side and threw on a sheer lace bodysuit underneath which offers the same edgy effect (without eliciting texts from my mom questioning my wardrobe choices).

I finished the outfit off with some of my fave camel accessories, a backpack from Forever 21 and fringe suede heels from Steve Madden that I have had forever. Since the denim I’m wearing has camel colored threading, I figured it was a great way to subtly tie the whole look together.

Denim on denim is nothing new, but there are so many cool ways to style it. That being said, I’m curious…what are some of your fave ways to rock a Canadian Tux?
