Snake Charmer.

Snake print isn’t for everyone, but personally, I love it — I mean, it’s fierce, edgy and exotic…what’s not to love?

Needless to say when I saw this fun and flirty skater dress from Tobi.com I had to jump on it, especially since it was on SALE for $25! It is perfect for a night out on the town, but is truly a chameleon because it also can easily pull double duty at the pool as a coverup.

Want to try snake print, but having trouble with where to start? I’ve got you boo! Here are a few fun tips I learned during my time at Jimmy Choo that will help you rock the print with out making your skin crawl!

One at a Time: When wearing animal prints in general, I pick one printed piece then anchor my look around it. Don’t get me wrong, mixing prints can look AH-mazing, but I have found that unless you want to be mistaken for an anaconda on the loose, mixing snake prints may not be the best way to go.

Less is More: Snake print is definitely a statement maker, so when I rock this print in any capacity I tend to keep the reminder of my outfit neutral. {A fun tip is to pull a color from the actual snake print itself and create an outfit with the same color palette}.

Quality is Key: Not all prints are created equal so when making your selection…BE PICKY! Real snakeskin tends to be pricy since it is an exotic material, so if you have to ask yourself if this looks cheap, then put it down and walk away.

When putting this look together I made sure to follow my own rules, and kept everything in my outfit neutral, using the blacks in the snake print as my guide. This dress could easily get way edgier with sleek strands and gold accessories, but for this look I paired it with my fave OTK boots, a felt floppy hat and my fave everyday rings for a more boho-vibe.
