Doorfront

Personally, I prefer to avoid too much of the ‘touristy thing’ when I travel, and head off to more local and/or cultured ventures. It is great to travel with those or at least be in contact with people who know the lay of the land and have done a little bit of homework. Thankfully my brother and his fiancee recently moved to France so they know the sights worth seeing.

For our first day out an about we headed South to the coast of Cassis to enjoy the French Rivera and a swim in the medeterranian sea. We headed out around 10am and planned to be out until dusk with activities that included a picnic on the beach, swimming, shopping and dinner. Quite the range of activities!

To plan accordingly I opted to really limit my look and jewelry while carrying a light-weight but roomy handbag! A great way to infuse some style into a beach look is to adorn a swimsuit with some bling! The Sinfully Suited swimwear line has really great pieces that add edge to any body of water they inhabit. The top I selected has a really unique silver adornment that looks like a statement necklace! I then paired it with a lightweight top, a fedora to protect my face (and scalp) from the sun and my usual cutoffs.

All in all I felt comfortable, stylish and ready to take on whatever adventures came our way, including gelato! I hope you all have had an amazing week, and as always…
