Chic Essentials // The Pencil Skirt
I am pretty convinced I could live at Lux on Central! Kitschy decor, delicious food, even better lattes and wireless internet. What more could a fashion blogger ask for?
On days where I am running around town, and meeting clients for coffee I want to look my very best but feel comfortable in my own skin. A pencil skirt is a great option because it can take on multiple personas. From office chic to downtown casual the top and accessories you pair it with can give it a new look in seconds. I got this leopard print pencil skirt at Ann Taylor last year and it is still one of my very favorites! Regardless of trends, leopard print is pretty much a neutral to me and so when I see it in classic shapes I tend to buy them.
For this look I paired the skirt with a fun new Bloguettes Statement T that I got during their speed dating workshop I attended this month at Lux. The Bloguettes are an amazing group of creatives which host webinars, branding workshops and other fun events for bloggers nationwide. Check out more info about them here!
To add some extra edge to the look I accessorized with my fave Love Bullet necklace by local designer Lauren Brown! She has different varieties and they are all made by hand! What are some of your fave ways to wear a pencil skirt?
