Chic Travels // Paris
Sharing one of my fave looks from my trip to Paris! After my brothers wedding, we headed from Provence to Paris to take in as much as we could in the two days we were staying there. Our hotel was within walking distance to a lot of cool sights including the Eiffel Towel and Notre-dame.
The day started with a visit to the local market for baguettes and espresso. Afterwards we took a stroll through Notre-Dame and some local shops along the way. One of my wish list items was to was visit Ladurée and score some macaroons! How could I not right?! The experience was everything I could hope for from the box down to the last bite. They even have their own fine china in lite pink and lite blue which I am totally coveting now!
As the sun began to set we were all pretty exhausted but were determined to make it to the Eiffel Tower! It was a pretty fun experience, you’d think it was easy to get to but each time we took a turn down what we thought was the last street we would discover we still had a ways to go! Finally the buildings cleared and there she was lit up in the night sky. Totally worth every step!
I didn’t mind the walk because I was rocking my Converse (which I wore pretty much the whole trip). Even though I was going out of town for two weeks I didn’t want to have lug a bunch of bags around so I made sure to pack one suitcase with intermixable items like these destroyed boyfriend jeans from Abercrombie & Fitch.
It was really nice to live the laissez-faire lifestyle and keep my outfits fairly uncomplicated, it was a nice reminder that less really can be more!
