Ever since Abercrombie & Fitch came out with camo fatigues (followed by mini-skirts and more) when I was in High School, I was hooked to military styling.

Very much like leopard print, infusing touches of military inspired style into your wardrobe can be a fun way to switch up your look.

There are a few staples that I keep on rotation year round and have surprising transitioned pretty seamlessly fit into my look regardless of whats trending.

A good army green utility jacket is a great start. I like to get mine a little over-sized so it has a slouchy effect – fit is crucial though, you don’t want to look sloppy.

Belts are a fun way to add a a touch of military without having to fully commit to the trend. I love the one I am wearing in this post, I found it at H&M for $25 and bought it immediately (sorry it was like 2 years ago or I’d link it – but try these).

I have worn this belt with everything from denim and a crisp white shirt, casually slung over a LBD – super inexpensive, but it has lasted for-eva!

PS. Make sure to check out my section where you can shop my closet essentials, I added some fun military inspired pieces for you there!
