The frill skirt has been making quite the splash this summer and shows no signs of going anywhere this fall. Lending more of a feminine touch to otherwise tougher pieces like moto jackets and leopard print, the frill skirt immediately adds a flirty vibe to any outfit.

I personally love a pinstripe option like this tie-front version from Shein.com because for one, its only $17.00 but it also adds an unexpected menswear inspired touch to the piece. I also love how versatile it is, wear it with everything from sneakers, to OTK boots to leopard print pumps.

If you recall earlier this spring, ruffles and frills were fairly new to me but the more I wear them the more I love them. I picked up this white open shoulder ruffle top from Forever 21 for under $15 and love how it pretty much goes with everything. If you haven’t noticed I am big fan of finding clothes that can transcend seasons and easily mix and match with the pieces already hanging in my closet. Typically I go for plain white T’s but with this being my first time experiencing Fall in more than 10 years, I am going for bolder basics. Go big or go home right?

Speaking of…that is exactly how I feel about this embroidered faux leather moto jacket that I scored during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. I need another leather jacket like I need a hole in the head but I am a sucker for details, and the floral embroidery and studs had me at hello. The way I see it is this is easily a piece I can buy now and wear forever so spending a little more for an item like this to me is totally worth every penny.

The cool thing about the pieces in this look is that they are all items that you can wear a multitude of ways. Dress them up, dress them down or rock ’em all together, the options are pretty much endless.

xx,
Jess
