Chic Essentials // Street Style Necessities
Street style has been an obsession of mine for as long as I can remember. I love how irreverent this style of dressing is because of it’s authentic, raw, and lived-in nature in a world filled with uniforms and rules.
Over the years, my look-books and inspiration boards have consistently been littered with ripped jeans worn by MOD’s (model’s off duty) like Kate Moss, and Cara Delevingne, and posh florals mastered perfectly by street style savants like Olivia Palermo. They constantly remind me that rules are meant to be broken, and some of the best style has developed as a result!
Since my street style is constantly evolving, I have found that it helps to keep a closet full of neutral pieces that I can funk up according to my mood. While I am not much of a flower girl, the sporty black and white piping pretty much sold me on this tank top from Target (not to mention the $12 price tag). Besides, taking a chance once and awhile helps me keep things interesting!
Since I moved to Cali I have pretty much lived in my ripped jeans, and since I work from home I can totally get away with it! I love how in spite of their grungy demeanor, even a simple pair of heels can elevate their look instantly which is great for when I have to run out the door for meetings throughout the day.
The Medium Apparel snapback I am wearing has been in my collection for a few years now. I picked it up at a Phoenix Fashion Week Garment District event and love the croc embossed bill, it makes me feel like a total badass! As you can see I am also still obsessed with my Vince Camuto ‘Rizzo’ backpack, and have barely set it down since I got it! Like my ripped jeans, I am constantly amazed by how versatile, and roomy this bag is, not to mention that it keeps my hands free!
Now enough about me! What do you wear when you take it to the streets?
