Mirrored sunnies are one of those summer staples that to be honest, I would always see style-savvy girls rocking them, but didn’t have the guts to try for the longest time! They’re almost like country music – you think you hate them until you try ’em, then you instantly wonder how you ever lived without them.

If you aren’t sure if mirrored sunnies are for you, and/or don’t know what shade/shape to try – go for less expensive pairs from Forever 21, or Brass Plum at Nordstrom before you invest. I have found my mood changes, especially when it comes to trendy shapes so I advise making sure you LOVE an expensive pair enough to sustain a relationship passed the honeymoon phase.

That being said, I have a variety of pairs with different frame shapes, and lens shades — personally, blue/green/purple and red/orange are my fave combos. In terms of a ‘designer pick’, Ray-ban aviator’s are my go-to in all cases because they fit my face shape like a glove and I find that no matter what brands I buy, I end up gravitating towards my ray-bans anyways, so their mirrored options were really a no-brainer for me.
