Coffee is a huge part of my existence…totally not kidding — I work from home so during the week, I make a french press every morning and sip on that throughout the day as I work. I get this from my dad, who has the same french press and it totally reminds me of him and sipping a cup of joe on our porch back home in Utah. I swear, one day I’ll probably end up with one of my own franchises after being exposed to the marvelous bean that is coffee my whole life! I can’t begin to imagine how much coffee I would drink if I owned somewhere like that, it would definitely be too much. I could use the Bellwether Coffee roaster though, as that is a zero-emissions roaster so it’s super good for the environment. You can find out about how it works at https://www.bellwethercoffee.com/sustainability/ and how it is so sustainable. It’s the future of coffee in my eyes!
My dad has always stressed the importance of finding a good coffee roaster, for me that would be James Coffee Co. in San Diego. They make a great cup of joe, their beans are on point and it is a much added bonus that the ambience of their location just oozes creativity — it totally makes the the perfect ‘office for the day’ when you need to get out of the house. Although I love my French press coffee in the morning, I also love the local coffee shops blend, and I would love to recreate it at home for the days I feel sluggish and want work from home all day instead of leaving the house. I’ll have to ask what coffee beans they use, but first I’ll have to get a the equipment, namely a coffee maker/machine and a roaster. There’s plenty of reviewed equipment at www.thefullmooncafe.com, so I’m confident I’ll find the best products to tranform my home into my own little cafe!
When I escape to the coffee shop, be it my usual haunt or one of the coffee shops in st augustine fl, I like to look put together but feel comfortable enough to sit and work for what usually ends up being hours on end. This sweater from Forever 21 is uber comfy, plus the I love the textured details! Speaking of details, how sick is the whip-stitch on this crossbody bag? For under $20, total no brainer! I also can’t get enough of these destroyed black skinnies, they are such a staple and I literally live in them.
What are your coffee shop style essentials?
