(No)Limits.

I don’t think its any secret that we all pretty much love leggings so much… that we wore them until the Blair Waldorf’s of the world were basically forced to accept them as pants. Its kind of funny, because I was among the naysayers for the ‘no limits’ legging movement, until I realized there is something about a high-waisted pair of black active leggings that is both surprisingly versatile, and insanely comfortable.

{Side Note: Am I the only one surprised at how hard it can be to find a plain black activewear legging without any mesh/neon writing/stripes/patterns/pastel piping/reflectors/zippers?! Apparently the mantra ‘less is more’ is not having a moment right now…lol.}

Its been fun to explore new ways to rock leggings during the day, one of which is this crop top + combo blazer. This ‘Je Suis Gangster’ crop top is from a siiiick new line I found called Killem With Chic — the designer is local to San Diego and a total #bossbabe! She just launched a really sick online shop that has some cool streetwear and her line of statement T’s — make sure to check it out!

To be honest with you, I’m not surprised that so many designers are branching out into streetwear as it’s becoming much more popular with fashionistas. In fact, I’ve heard that you can find some pretty stylish pieces from somewhere like Lychee the Label as it’s all my friends have been talking about recently, and I can see why. They look great! So, I’m really excited that there is going to be more choices of streetwear apparel in the local area soon. You can never have too many items of clothing after all!

When I wear leggings in the day — and I’m not actually going to the gym, I make sure to avoid rocking my running shoes — otherwise I kinda feel like the top half of me says ‘hey let’s go get brunch’, while the bottom half of me says — ‘but wait, aren’t we going to the gym?’ No bueno. That being said, button ups, tank tops, tunic dresses, statement T’s — when it comes to leggings, the options are pretty much limitless.
