Sunday Brunch is by far my favorite meal of the week! Bottomless mimosas, recaps about last nights adventures and pancakes that could easily be mistaken as dessert…what’s not to love?

When getting dressed for brunch with the squad or even just my fave galpal I like to keep it casual but still put together. I find that when I just roll up to brunch in sweats with no makeup on I feel rather uncomfortable, even though my clothes are uber comfy.

Even when wearing an athleisure look to brunch I still like to, oh you know…brush my hair and freshen up a bit – not just roll out of bed and into the car. Since brunch is one of my few times to get together with friends I like to treat the outing as a special occasion and get gussied up a bit.

A great option for the girl on the go is a fab dress that can be thrown on at a moments notice. I personally love this XIX Palms option from Swirl Boutique in Encinitas, it is super breezy, but still has long sleeves which is perfect since we are in the earlier part of spring.  The white and blue print remind me of Spanish tile work and the slit in the front keeps things from looking too little house on the prairie.

Other brunch time essentials I often gravitate towards are a fun clutch like this option from Cleobella and some oversized Quay sunnies. My everyday bag is simply too big for a Sunday funday and sunnies are great for masking little makeup (or last nights antics) and make for great flatlay accessories when you need to snap that perfect brunch flatlay pic.
