Patchwork Denim.

Patchwork denim is one of my favorite trends to hit the streets this season.

You can imagine my surprise when I not only found the perfect pair from Topshop, but that they are high-waisted jeans, with a relaxed fit as well…or in other words, they are basically like three awesome pairs of jeans patched into one! Can you say #winning?

To be honest, I have subscribed to the skinny jean club for quite some time and after having tried many, many, many boyfriend/girlfriend/mom jeans, had developed a very strong love/hate relationship with anything high-waisted or baggy. Fit is absolutely crucial with denim like this, because as much as they some jeans can look cute from the front, after one wash they end up getting uber-saggy – and saggy is a good look for, well…no one (not even the skater guy in Clueless).

But I am happy to report that after several washes and multiple wears, this pair of Topshop patchwork denim just gets better and better!

High waisted jeans are also really fun to style because they have the same slimming effect as a pencil skirt and look great with fun summer staples like crop tops, shoulder bearing tops and tucked in graphic T’s.
