One of my favorite parts of my job as a fashion blogger, is constantly pushing the envelope when it comes to the rules of style. On a typical day, I love to throw on my tried and true denim on denim, or black on black — but once and a while it is fun to dream a little…

This look is inspired by the free spirit in me that dances to Taylor Swift with my dog in the living room, and chases the sun from dusk until dawn. This beaded gown (which TOTALLY GOT TRASHED during this shoot because I almost tripped a million times) was a total score at Nordstrom Rack a few years ago — I got it on clearance for New Years and have had it ever since, so I figured why not give it one last dance?!

The fringe however, is another story. Forever 21 at its finest, this suede jacket has been on constant rotation since I picked it up last fall. I love the contrast between the two, the fringe really downplays the elegance of the dress, making it perfect for a romp on the beach!
