Chic Essentials // Perforated Pieces
One of my all time favorite pieces of art is the LOVE sculpture by Robert Indiana. While the original is located in Philly, there are also versions of it in different cities like New York and Scottsdale. I know its cheesy but to me it is a great reminder that love exists everywhere and gives me the comfort of home when I am away.
I will use any excuse to take a trip to visit Love Park so when my photographer Chea Lamb invited me to come by while she taught a photography class for budding young artists I jumped at the opportunity! It was a lot of fun to see how much fun the girls were all having snapping away and coming up with creative angles.
Tabula Rasa is a fab store in my home town, but it also means blank slate in Latin! White is one of my favorite clothing colors because you can really infuse your own style into with accessories just like an artist does with a canvas. I also love wearing white for the summer because it is so clean and bright (and looks great with a tan).
One of the coolest trends that I have seen come about lately is perforated pieces. I love playing sports, so designs that mix sporty influences into a lady like piece is something that I feel totally at home in. This dress is by Dolce Vita which is a great line, if you haven’t checked them out you can find a great variety of their line on ShopBop.
I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and have some really fun weekend plans ahead!
