Chic Essentials // The Leather Hat
I hope all of you had an amazing weekend! My weekend started off with a trip to Flagstaff where I helped run an event at Mormon Lake, and enjoyed some cooler weather. On Sunday I was lucky enough to get an impromptu day off! I spent the morning hiking, then headed to a friends for a Father’s Day BBQ and Volleyball game (which was great because I just joined a team last month and I could totally use the practice).
I really love sports, but prefer to leave my gym clothes and active wear where they belong (at the gym)! That doesn’t mean that I can’t infuse my day to day fashion with a hint of Sport chic! The leather hat I am wearing in the post also made the trek with me up Piestewa Peak earlier that day. From velvet track pants to perforated shoes and accessories there are a lot of options that designers are re-working for the runway. This is a great way to adapt a sporty look without actually wearing your sweaty workout gear. Most people also tend to opt for something like one of the unisex trucker hats that are available, as they can be worn on may different occasions.
I suggest only rocking one or two pieces at a time (like these perforated white sandals and a leather hat) to avoid looking like you are a bedazzled workout instructor. Click here to check out some of my fave options for rocking a sporty look!
Stay Stylish,
XOJ
