I don’t know about you but I have been so busy this Holiday Season that I haven’t been able to stick to my normal workout routine as much as I’d like! I just barely got back from Paris which is the land of croissants and macarons so needless to say I put on a bit of what I like to call my ‘winter coat’, which is not ideal timing since I am heading to Hawaii in less than 10 days!

So, I decided to lace up my new adidas Ultra Boosts  and kick it into high gear so I can get back into beach body shape before the trip!  One of my all-time favorite (and fastest) ways to achieve a bootylicious beach bum is by running stairs, because it kills a whole flock of birds with one stone.

First off, running stairs combines the benefits of squats, lunges and a solid cardio session all into one low-impact fat burning session! Um, yes please! Secondly, no gym is required, so I can literally get a workout in regardless of where I am, so even the busiest girlboss can fit a workout in between holiday shopping and parties.

With a stair workout you can easily vary the degree of difficulty simply by walking vs. running, skipping a step or two, or adding in other exercises at the bottom or top of the stairs like push-ups, jump squats, sit-ups and mountain climbers just to name a few. Don’t be afraid to start, just start!
