Los Cabos is literally my home away from home – whenever I am looking to recharge my creativity and get some RnR I love sneaking away and enjoying a relaxing weekend surrounded by the Sea of Cortez and the good company of friends I have made down there.

Last week, I had the opportunity for some work in the area and decided to extend my stay to make the most of the weekend. I have stayed a lot of places in Los Cabos, but I always come back to what has quite literally become my home away from home, The Bahia Hotel and Beach House in San Lucas, so regardless of work or play, this is usually where you will find me.

There are a lot of reasons the Bahia has earned a place on my list of all-time favorite places to stay in Cabo. First off, the on-site restaurant Bar Esquina, comes complete with healthy menu options including green smoothies, and house made granola. Then you have the on-site concierge to help you book your stand up paddle boarding excursion, oh…and did I mention that the Bahia is literally a stones throw from both the action down town, and Medano beach – aka one of the few swimmable beaches in Cabo?

I was particularly excited this go-around because they just opened their brand new beach club, SUR, and I have been dying to check it out! Plus, I have been wanting to try their newly renovated rooms. As AH-mazing as they were before, I heard this was a must so I decided to upgrade my room and ended up enjoying a poolside view!

Needless to say, from discovering my first Croque Madame south of the border during brunch at SUR, to my inauguration into Stand up Paddle Boarding Yoga – this trip was definitely full of firsts, and I am super excited to share my fave new (and old) San Lucas haunts with you!

IF YOU ONLY HAVE TIME FOR ONE MEAL…it should be BRUNCH at SUR Beach House.

SUR is the all-new beach club that is a block down from the hotel and literally on the shores of one of the only swimable beaches in Cabo.

The Croque Madame was delicious, as was everyone elses food I sampled around the table (in the name of research of course).

The entire beach club has this really modern and airy feel, plus their marble high-tops and hand carved wooden tables make for the perfect Brunch flatlays – cuz what kind of vacay are you having if you aren’t making your friends uber jealous over your eats?!

Psssst…DON’T BOTHER…paying for the WiFi in the rooms.

Instead, head on down to Bar Esquina, the Hotel Restaurant and Bar, this also happens to be a local hotspot!

Enjoy complimentary WiFi – and one of their AH-mazing lattes, freshly baked pastries or a hand crafted smoothie from a menu customized by local fitness guru Modu (aka @moduvated).

INSTAWORTHY…SUP to the Arch.

If you buy an iPhone 7 just so you can capture the perfect selfie after paddle boarding to El Arco (Land’s End), it will totally be worth it.

The lesson I got from Gunther from CABO Sup had me paddle boarding like a pro in no time, and being out in the ocean enjoying nature while getting a great core workout in was a dream come true!

For all you yogi’s out there – make sure to ask about their SUP Yoga – yes, you read that right…SUP yoga, you literally anchor onto a buoy and get down with your downward dog on a paddleboard – so fun, just be prepared to fall in (and a thong bikini might be a little awk…so keep that in mind when selecting your swimsuit… #justsaying).

INSIDER INTEL…Request one of Bahia’s NEWLY RENOVATED poolside rooms.

I loved the look before, but for real people…the minimalistic decor, wooden accents and Acapulco chairs that adorn their new rooms totally set the mood for the perfect oasis to retreat to after a long day of sight seeing.

It was so relaxing to open my balcony door and enjoy the early morning sunrise overlooking the pool with a yummy vanilla latte and house made granola from their cafe.

Oh, and I’m not going to lie, I even splurged and  had Breakfast in Bed one morning, their waffles and Eggs benny are AH-mazing and totally the perfect way to start any day!

WORD TO THE WISE…Experience the EXCURSIONS.

As many times as I have been to Los Cabos – I have yet to do much of anything except work on events, eat, and take a quick dip in the ocean!

So this trip, I decided to check out what Bahia’s concierge had in the way of excursions – from Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga one day, to risking it all in the Sling Swing the very next day – The Bahia’s Concierge service is like magical genie service just waiting to help you take a walk on the wild side!

So don’t forget to get your adventure on, there is literally something for everyone to try, and let’s just say after one time in the Wild Canyon Sling Swing, my fear of heights was cured!
